Sidsel Bjerrum

In 2015, Sidsel established the disability organization Ggbaba together with a local woman in Uganda. The aim is to develop disabled children in the Ggaba slum and ensure them the best opportunities and rights.

Ggaba is also working to break down the stigma of disabled children in Uganda culture. The organization has grown and today Ggaba has 40 disabled children and young people attached. Sidsel is responsible for lobbying and fundraising through collaborations with organizations in both Denmark and Uganda.
